The Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education with 替代许可证计划 (ALP SED MAT) is a two-year program designed for those who want to obtain a teaching license and earn a master’s degree.

• Demonstrate proficiency on all Colorado Teacher Quality Standards for Colorado Special Education Generalist

学费

• 学费是6865美元.00 for each of the two years, for a total of $13,730.00 +强制性学生费用

课程

MAT Curriculum (graduate level courses + licensure):

• Teacher Candidates enrolled in the MAT program complete 40 hours of graduate special education coursework during the program.

• T在这里 is a two-week Summer Seminar in July before the year begins, 每周上课，为期两年, and a four-week summer practicum between years one and two.

• Teacher Candidates will be eligible for the Initial Special Education Generalist License from the 科罗拉多州教育局 when they have successfully completed the ALP SED MAT program and achieved a passing score on the Special Education 实践# 5354 and 阅读教学:初级 实践# 5205.

• MAT students will be required to complete an additional 9 credits of graduate level coursework, 在获得MAT之前. Two of these courses will be completed in the summer between years 1 and 2 and one will be completed in the fall of year 2.

• All ALP SED MAT Teacher Candidates are required to attend a weeklong Summer Seminar in July
